seafoam

I've heard of this product but have never used it before. Nor do I know anyone that has. It's a pretty old product so I'm guessing it works seeing that it's been around for a long time. Some of you older coots should know of this stuff...

complete garbage. it eats rubber, oil, plastic. a lot of engines have been known to seize with use of the crap. i had to rebuild the 460 in my bronco because of that stuff.

I use it for a gas stabilizer in all my engines every winter - never had a problem.

theoldwizard1 will become famous soon enough
It is designed to be a carbon cleaner for 2 stroke engines. Many outboard owners swear by it !

Damn good decarbonizer. One pint to one gallon of your fuel. Run about half that out and let it soak for 1/2 hour then run the rest. You still need your 2 stroke oil in the mixture. I have used it for a fuel stabilizer for years too and never had a problem. Diesel guys like it too. Lawncare business's too.

that stuff made the motor in both my Sentra, and my Civic seize. the guy at the shop said it went past my rings, called it blow off or something like that, and got rid of my oil. made the pistons stop where they were after 150 miles on the honda...

Ya, not a big fan of that crap. At least for automotive use. I think it will kill weeds...
