Depends on what your trying to remove. If your doing the windshield, forget about it.It will come out wavey like looking through a circus mirror. But if you insist, try a little jewlers rouge and a high speed buffer. But my advice would be to throw a rock at the windshield and have your insurance replace it.But you didn't hear that from me.

i like your idea but glass coverage for me aint really worth it i have a glass shop buddy and for 200 buck i get a new windshield installed. its the 92 ford side windows i really need to polish, i havent seen one yet the wasnt scratched. oh and i have found some cool things to try with the windows like a rear roll up. and a 1 piece side door window. one piece products is in the process of building them.

The product for polishing glass is called Cerium Oxide. It's an orange colored powder you can mix with a little water to turn it into a paste. You spread some on your glass and polish with a circular motion until your scratches are gone or your glass is super smooth. They also make kits for this too. You can usually find them at hardware stores or auto parts stores. I did that to my 69 LTD and got rid of those nasty wiperblade scratches and 30 years of dirt and grime. Just take your time, It really works. Just google "glass polishing" and you'll find all kinds of links.
Good Luck., Kenny/Blue Oval ResinWorks.

Forget throwing rocks at your windshield, and fancy products and remember this for exterior windows... un-tinted interior too!
0000gauge (extra-fine) Steel Wool. The detailers that cleaned all your cars for 'delivery' did it and how great did it look when you bought a new car?!?
You will want to buy a nice can of (ammonia-free) foaming window cleaner, you should already have something like that though, or regular windex even; spray the hell out of that windshield and just use the steel wool like it was a napkin... Swirl or circle motions, and you'll find it moves fairly quickly, but be careful around the edges so you don't scratch up your A-pillars and roof!
The super fine grain of the steel wool polishes the glass back to new and you can feel the grit come off the glass as you go; be sure to be generous with the glass cleaner and keep the surface wet... That's why I like the foaming stuff; it stays put pretty much 'till you get to it.
I learned this trick working as a Ford salesman years ago, I even had a local detail shop I worked at later add that process to basic car washes and as a quick bug-removal step... works real fast and when you're done it looks great!

I personally have used a resotration kit from the Eastwood Company (eastwood.com) that i used to remove blemishes, etc on several windows. kits run about $50. not much prep work involved and doesn't require manual steel wool work.
worked for me for a few years now....
