many problems with my 2000 expedition. we are guessing electrical??? can anyone help?

I have a 2000 expedition that NO ONE can seem to figure out what's wrong with it. We've narrowed it down to an electrical problem but that is it. I've taken it to ford and have had several other people look at it. Nothing is coming up on the tcomputer the battery is good the alternator is good and all of the fuses have been checked. But it will randomly turn off when i'm driving it. Until recently it would turn back on right way. Sometimes I didn't even have to stop just turn the key and turn it back on again. Recently though it started turning off and not starting back up again. The first time I messed with the fuse box under the hood pushing them all down and that and it started right up. the second time tried that and didn't work after sitting for like 30 min it started back up again. the 3rd time that didn't work either and sat for like an hr on the side of the rd for my friend's dad to get there. He checked for fuel pressure and it was good and was just trying to fig it out and it started right back up when he turned the switch. Then the last time my friend came to help me cause I was sitting on the side of the road. He tried diff things finally undid the battery and redid it and it started right up. Thus far that has worked when it wont start. But also when i'm driving it the rpm's and speedometer will randomly jump around everywhere. the thief light will randomly start flashing then go off. one time i was driving doing like 50-55 the rpm's, speedometer went to 0 the battery light came on the temp gauge went to C the odometer went all dashes and it kept going then all sudden everything came back on again. My odometer likes to go off and back on. And now the newest thing is my parking lights wont turn off. I have to to undo the battery at night or when i'm at work cause that's the only way I can get them to turn off. Thanks for any help or suggestions you might have.

I don't know about the parking lights staying on, but otherwise I would start by looking at my grounds. Low voltage could cause a myriad of problems like this. I'd examine the battery cables at both ends first, then look for a strap from the engine to the chasis, and to the body. THe little one from the battery negative to the upper radiator support (assuming that there is one) and next the one near the PCM (usually high on or near the firewall, under the hood, driver's side.)

Clean and tight!

I see that Cuda_Jim agrees with me, that is a good sign that I might be on the right track. Thanks Jim!
