F150 5 amp draw

1998 F150 4x4

I've narrowed down a 5 amp draw (engine off) on a tan? 14Ga-ish wire connected to the alternator side of the 175A fuse. Can anyone tell me what circuit that wire supports?

Too freaking cold to spend a lot of time out there...
3-4 hours and the battery is toast if I don't pull connectors

I wonder if it goes right back to the Alternator Regulator on terminal A?

So it looks like the problem is the ignition switch or something odd in the inst cluster.
The path that supplies the alt-light in series with the (field?) is never switching off.
Pulling the 10A mini fuse downstream (position 19) kills the current.

With the Alternator unplugged, and the Ignition Switch off, do you still have power at fuse #19?

Yes, it might be the ignition switch, or Alternator, or ... hmmmm .... could it be an aftermarket installation that is feeding back?

Ah, I like your logic process Factory orig wiring BTW
The good news: The GEM and the fuse panel look OK, but
my earlier analysis wasn't exact.
The ignition switch side of fuse #19 has a +12v state(good) and a resistance to ground state(WTF). Must be the ignition switch contacts.I've stuck a relay in series with the fuse, we can think about this again when its warm...
