'97 Taurus Electrical harness near the headlight (drivers side) and the hood latch

I hate to admit this...I forgot to note where this electrical harness connects. I'll describe the wire: behind the drivers side headlight is a wire bundle with 4 leads, each terminating in clip connecters. One goes to the drivers side running light; another goes to the high/low beam headlight; the third goes to the running light/parking light (amber on my model) in front of the radiator; and the last lead is the longest of the 4 and i have no idea where that is supposed to go. I was thinking maybe an under the hood light bulb, located near the hood latch, but I can't find any light bulbs (near the latch or in the hood, though there is an on/off switch button that is activated when the hood is opened and closed). I carefully looked over the front body/bumper nose, the radiator cover, the shrouding that encases the radiator, the below the radiator splash guards and the radiator fan motor...can't locate the "mate" to this 4th clip connector. Incidently, the two airbag sensors are connected to their own wires and the drivers side sensor in the bumper frame has its wires running parallel to this bundle of 4 other wires. Therefore this remaining unidentified wire is not the airbag sensor wire. I might also note that it is not the passenger side running light, headlight, parking light or airbag sensor because the passenger side has its own array of lines and connectors. Any ideas as to what that wire could be and where to connect the connector? I believe it has two pins in it, not 4. Thanks in advance for your ideas.
