94 Tunderbird, no power, wont accelerate

HI Everyone,

I have a 94 Tbird 4.6 V8 within the last few days i developed a cold start problem. When i would first start the car it would run rough and somethimes stall but after it ran for about 1 minute everything would be fine and you couldnt tell there was anything wrong.

Last night while driving home on the highway it i lost all power, the eninge was still running but if i would step on the gas it would bog down. could not get more than 700 RPM's. I am glad i was near home and was able to make it. SO if i put the car in drive i cant get above 5MPH. Made it home but dont want to try to start it in case it can cause more damage. Any thoughts?

I would pop the hood and check your fluid levels and colors.

Pulling codes is a great start.

Do you have access to a fuel pressure guage? See if you can get one and check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail. I don't know exactly what the specs are for your car, but should be at least 35psi.

EDIT: AutoZone has a tool loaner program where you leave a deposit and borrow a tool. They MIGHT lend fuel pressure guages, I don't know.
