Is it a 390? "Badges"
Everyone is always asking me if my car has a 390. For some reason they didn't put engine badges on my Cyclone. So, I found a 390 hood badge at the swap this week. This one had studs on it like the original hood scoop badges, "reproductions often stick on". I made a backing plate and installed it in my grille. Looks like it belongs there so I am pleased with it. I tried to attach a photo so we'll see if it makes it in this post.

Thanks fella's. I wish I could've used the badge with the flags but there's too much of a radius in the shape of the grille.
Swap meets are a great place to find pieces. There is a huge event at Daytona thanksgiving weekend every year. I have never been but I've heard a lot of hype about it so this year we're going.

I was at the shopping center yesterday and there sat a 1966 Comet that looked like it came off the showroom floor.
I went back to the car to get my camera and it was gone.

I would have put it on the back of the car so they can see it as you pull away!!! MORE POWER, put a 427, 428, or 429 in that hot rod and light up them tires. Seriously the "badge" looks fine. A few months, at a cruise, ago I saw one of those with a 390 with two four bbl carbs.

She'll light'em. Somewhere on here I have a video of a burnout that started wheel hopping. I ended up bending my leaf springs backwards. $650 burnout not including labor and loss of rubber, ouch.
My buddy here in town has a 6 pack on his Fairlane. Shit, I get 10 MPG now, I'd hate to think what he's getting. Speaking of fuel. Filled her up at Sebring Raceway over the weekend, $8.50 per gallon but man it smells sweet now.
