best way to take out keyed paint?

greets all -

i have an 03 ranger and when i bought it the sides had been keyed but i got a good price on it.....but it would be nice to blend back into the paint if possible...anyone have any luck with anything in doing this? appreciate any info..thank you

if u touch up the chips and power polish the vehicle the scratches will be less noticeable. of course u will still see them but it will be noticeably better. there is no way to completely get rid of the scratch unless u repaint it.

I recommend your try using Meguiars Diamond Cut Compund. It is very abrasive so you need to do small areas at a time and only work the areas around the scratched paint. Remember to use a good quality wax to buff after you are finished. You may need to wax it a few times to really finish out the scratches. If the scratches are right down to the metal, there isnt much hope other than a new paint job, but try the diamond cut compound anyway. It is not expensive and available at most reputable auto stores.
