Convertible Fox 93 Mustang Quarter Window Mechanism
My rear window's guide rod is some how lose or broken at the top where I can't see or figure out whats doing what...and looks like to take out the face plate assy (which covers the whole inside area) would pretty much have me remove EVERYTHING in that section of the car?
Does anybody have a diagram or layout of the regulator and its mounts...I really need to get a real HELMs manual which I don't know if is even available?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hey there 96XLT351,
I do so apologize, as I can't exactly find my '93 Mustang Workshop Manual. I did however, find my '95 Mustang Workshop Manual.
Hope it helps.

Thanks, that looks pretty similar to my fox...I wound up getting my large hands inside the freakin' quarter section and found that the upright guide rod isn't even mounted at the top? The bottom of rod is mounted with plastic cup which LRS sells a billet upgrade for.
So the theory of operation from FORD I'm assuming is that the window travels up&down the rod with the plastic grommets acting as bearings and l-r movement is guided by the adjustable felts...as far as front to back movement I found no guides (this is an original untouched vehicle) and that is why the window is very wobbly unless fully down or up. This is on my drivers side...my passenger side seems nice and snug in all positions? I would love to rip apart my rh side but my rollcage makes pulling the inside quarter panel a real !
Thanks for the info and one question, do you have your 93 manual on CD...if so where did you buy it, I want one asap!

Sorry to disappoint you, but my '93 Mustang Workshop Manual is a Paper Manual, and I just remembered whose Car I left it in...
Have you tried your Local Library for a Workshop Manual? Perhaps another Forum Member, more familiar with CD Manual's can point you in the right direction.
