The hose to the rear windshield washer has been eaten or broken. Found the break, not sure how to get to or expose the line from the engine to the back of the vehicle. Any advice would be appreciated.

See below post.
That's the best photo I can get for you.
I guess you will have to follow the hose.

If you've identified the where it's broken, you should be able to cut a small piece off.Take that piece to your local parts sore and purchase a couple of barbed hose connectors the same size as the inside diameter of the piece you cut off, along with about a foot of hose the same size and splice the hose together. You can proabably fix it faster than it took to type this response.

It looks like the hose passes through the firewall. The hose is broke where it passes through the firewall. I can't see past the firewall. How do I expose the hose from the firewall back

Hey there Wind,

The Rear Wiper Hose passes through the firewall, through a rubber grommet on the Right Hand side of the vehicle, below the Wiper Cowl, behind the Glove Box Area and runs up the A Pillar and along the Right Hand side of the vehicle to the Right Rear D Pillar where it hangs a left and runs to the 3rd Brake Light Area.

In order to access the entire Rear Wiper Hose, you need to remove the A Pillar Trim, the Headliner and the Upper Rear Hatch Trim Panel, this is not a pleasant job at all.

The attached diagram should help to illustrate the routing.

I would think that if the hose is broken inside of the vehicle and the Rear Pump is operational that there should be a wet spot appearing where the fluid is leaking from the hose when the pump is activated.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Another fine job Missi...... Wind now knowing where to find the hose in the A pillar area,I would splice it there and see if it leaks. If no leaks you just became a flat rate mechanic
