98 E350 dome lights

we just bought a '98 E350 15 passenger van and the dome lights are all messed up. they seem like they were supposed to roll like a barrel to adjust where the light shines, but ours are all broken ... the front one is totally spun around, stuck and a bit charred from what looks like a short across the metal parts carrying the current to the lights.

anyway! I want to remove these and put in something a whole lot more simple and a whole lot less goofy. I just cannot find any information on these lights and/or what other options I might have.

Any advice or direction would be great.

A PDF of a chilton's or hayne's manual would be great, too, if anyone knows of a download.

thanks!

I can't get a picture of it but the front headliner must include lamps for around 500.00
Maybe you can go to an upholstry shop..
Do you have access to a library they normally have cds on them.

I can't get a PDF picture.
If you can create an account with Autozone you can see the wiring on a large scale
