Calling all electrical whiz ford brothers

im having a problem with my 67 fairlane. when i pull the headlight switch to the first position (marker lights) all i can get is the 4 ways and turn signals to blink but out of sequence with the rear lights and its slow, Also my directional arrows just stay on in instrument cluster instead of blinking. I figure its a bad ground in turn signal circuit but my shop manual just gives very basic schematics. I just replaced headlight switch and unplugged high beam switch but no change. If anyone has been through something similar or has a good schematic PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help me because otherwise she's almost ready for the road. Thanks guys

Used to have all sorts of issues with the bulb sockets back in the day. There are grounds in the trunk and in front on the rad support.

Checked my 67 Ranchero to see how it worked to compare to your problem. Found that my turn signals work and i can hear the flasher clicking but the emergency flasher switch didn't do anything. Looking at schematic, I found there is an emergency warning flasher and a turn signal flasher. I had replaced the turn signal flasher before because it was blinking slow but didn't know the emergency flashers have their own can. As Canuck623 said, the service manual refers to bad grounds and sockets as another possibility.

before i put dash bak in i figured id test everything to make sure all was hooked up right. I then discovered my issue with alternating turn signals front to rear.Long story short we realized the front turn signal housings rely on the bumper for their ground. Threw bumper on put everything back together and all is well. Sometimes we make our own problems but luckily we figured it out
