I have 8 doors, 4 fronts and 4 rears, all in excellent condition, 4 of them have aluminum door panels, polished with a bead roll around the outer edge. I also have a pristine rear gate. Also two front fenders, a grill and headlight doors for a 2 eye Fairmont, several front fenders and a hood. The hood has the little emblem in the center with the usual dips they always get. Make me an offer, you pay the shipping. Send me a pm and I'll give you my email and cell. Parts are in Virginia.

I have a full set of mercury zephyr z7 tail lights. I will part it out, but I want to sell it as a set. They have small stress cracks along the lenses, and the right hand corner lens is broken. I have tons of pics, and can take more. Send me a PM if interested, I am taking offers

Well after adds on here, craigs list and racing junk and the local paper as well, the only thing sold are the tail lights, so it looks like the rest will be hauled to the scrapyard.

Fairmont Futura tail light lenses. These only fit the Futura models and are extremely hard to find. This set has some cracking and spiderwebbing but is still a nice useable complete set of lenses. Come with the corner lenses, the flat lenses and the backup lens. They have been laying in my shop and are dirty. $90 plus shipping or you can pick up in Doniphan MO. best to call 573 429 4823 Thanks

I'm looking for a single hump transmission cross member with the WIDE bushings. I am not interested in double hump setups, I can get one anywhere. I have a lot of fairmont/zephyr parts to trade, or i'll gladly pay you for it.
Send me a PM if you have one!

Hey folks,

I am building a 1979 Ford Futura into a 24 Hours of Lemons Racecar. So, pretty much everything except the body and the drivetrain are up for grabs. It is a 200-6 car with an automatic, dark blue bucket seats (need recovering). Its been sitting out in the desert and is tired and faded working, but pretty much all the AC parts are good (the blower motor is burned out, but a little cold are comes out when you turn it on) and the smog parts. If anyone wants the back window your going to have to be in Souther California because I can see how I would ship a piece of glass that big without breaking it.

A newbie here, but a Ford fan ever since Dad purchased a new 65’ GT Stang back in the day…

My wife and are true Ford folks- with sixteen+ (!!!!) cars/trucks taking up space on our prop'.
Everything from a 49' F-6 dump truck to an 05' P.I. Crown Vic- including her 70' Boss 302-
Yep, we luv em all!

Well, I bought an 82’ F/mont Futura for my daughter’s first car with intentions of fixing it up for her daily driver.

The plan was to give it a semi-retro look to mimic a late model T-bolt Fairlane (paint, scoop, wheels, etc).

All went well until I got a guy involved to paint it…

I pulled all the chrome off the sides, and he was to weld up the trim tab holes. Unfortunately, he caught the driver’s side tail-light wiring on fire and melted it!

There is about a 2-ft. section from where it comes along the inner trunk panel up to the first light socket that I have to replace.
I know I can tear it all apart, test-light everything and re-wire it, but I would rather just section a piece in-

I’ve called all the scrap yards in the area and visited several to no avail-
All the cars I’ve checked (all the wrong year) have a flat wire connection (similar to the harness that plugs into the gauge cluster in the dash) that won’t work- or the wrong wire total.

I’m really at a loss here and the car is done-- except for this little glitch.

My little girl loves the car and blew off the chance to get a clean Honda from a friend of hers to keep this car (Oh yeah!!).

Can anybody please spare a chunk of wiring harness for this?
I will gladly pay for it and of course any shipping charges. We live in Va.

Thanks for your consideration
Cheers,
Phil&Fam’

PS. I will gladly post pics of it here when repaired and pulled out of the garage…that is if anybody has a care to see it-
It’s a nice “10 footer” but far from cherry-mint. Basically a very nice daily driver.

If anyone is interested, there is a Ford dealer in San Francisco that is out of business and selling inventory. He has a drivers door for a 1979 Fairmont 2 door coupe. Was asking 225.00, so if anyone is in the area and in need of one, Call 415-861-6000 and ask for Larry Bacchi. That is San Francisco Ford-Linc Mercury. Just chatted with him yesterday on the part, but not sure how long they will be onsite.

Took a trip to the local junk yard to get some upgrades for my 24 Hours of Lemons car, but instead I stripped a bunch of good stuff off another Futura that was there.

Here's what I have:
3/4 of the tailights (missing passenger side corner)
rear quarter windows with trim (couple of small spots that need to be polished out
Red plastic interior "sail" panels, passenger side is great, driver side has 2 small cracks
Red Sun Visors, need a good cleaning.

Email me if you want anything, but I warn you the sail panels cost at least $50 to ship via UPS. I am in L.A. if anyone wants to pick anything up from me.
