Fox platform cars - list
Occasionally, the question arises (in one form or another) about which cars were built on the Fox platform. Well, here is a list of the cars as listed by Wikipedia:
I hope this is helpful.

Are the 89-97 Thunderbirds considered a Fox body? I just found a SuperCoupe cheap in my area and it got my wheels turning. Thanks

No, they are on the mn-12 platform from 89-up, but I'm not sure what would be interchangable. A 3.8SC powered F/Z would be cool though.

actually more interchanges than you realize. same with the SN-95, and even the panther chassis

Care to elaborate for me on this? I might be able to get a 92 with a blown motor for very cheap and would love to use some of the suspension stuff on my Z7

it's just like when the original mustang was based off the falcon. everything is there, even if it wasn't used. the 65-66 mustang was originally made for IRS, but never got it.
under the skin the fox and Mn-12 are virtually identical. with the exception of the indy rear. that might take a few minor mods. otherwise everything else is almost a direct bolt in. including the camber/caster plates.

'78-'80 K members the rear inner bolts are closer together than on the later 81-04 cars, which can be rectified to use the later and lighter K members.
'78-'80 direct bolt in.
'81-'9/84 require rear inner bolt location change to fit.(mod car not K)
10/84-'88 same inner bolt location mod and use a different R&P sleeved bolt.
'89-'93 I4 Ks are the same as 10/84-'88 Ks
'89-'93 V8 Ks have a 1" wider track width. These can be identified by the welded in upper spring mount vs the stamped hole with triangles.
Avoid K members from the Thunderbird/Cougar coupe. They are a slightly different beast with a different offset between the rear mount and frame mount.

I'm guessing you are refering to Mustangs here?
