Rep Power: 1 | Loose sun visors My sun visors are loose. Not the rods them selves, I installed brand new ones so the visor to the face is gone. But they are loose on the rods themselves, so any vibration they fall down. Any ides on what I can do to fix this?

Rep Power: 10 | Maybe a little epoxy glue on the rod before the visor is slid on....if that's the type you have, not sure.

Rep Power: 1 | The visors are in okay shape, I might have them redone or try and find an NOS set. Its just the the metal tube the sun visor rod slides into. I guess it has lost an resistance and they move freely and aren't "tight" on the rod.
I got the rods brand new at Fox Resto. for 12.99 each, you can't beat it for the price. Fox Mustang Restoration :: Products

Rep Power: 8 | The early FOMOCO's had a clip mounted to the interior trim panel that the rods just laid in.
Pull out and up to turn down the visor reverse process to put back in place.
I think it was back in the early to mid 60's.
If you want to get inventive try a garment hanger hook used in the rear seats. |

Rep Power: 0 | When mine did fall down, I used a 1/2" round dot of Velcro to hold mine up when not in use.
When I put in a new headliner, I left the visors off, and put a 6" strip of dark window tint on the windshield.
So now I will never have that problem again. |
