I just got the car back in....gona start by making fuel pump bracket, permanently mounting the fuel cell, and running the fuel lines...I might even have a drive shaft that will fit...hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can hear this thing come to life....cant wait to break the cam in with open headers...my prissy neighbor might put her house up for sale...good!
It's neat to roll it out every so often....sometimes I can't belive I pulled this thing out of a field!

It's very cramped having 3 project vehicles and parts for all 3. The maverick project is probably going to get canned....think I'm going to stay with the fox platform....as soon as the zephyr is drivable, our father/son project will roll in....a stretched 2 seat rear engine sandrail....going to be powered by a nitrous fed 460....Of course it will be street legal.
There's a whole list of little things to do to the zephyr...but my main priority is to get it running....ain't nothing like the crackling sound of a 11.5:1 460 through 3 1/2" collectors....that will really get me motivated!

I hear that!! Same way here bro, I finally got that sweet pearl white 97 T-Bird running though so it's outta there. Working on the blue fairmont, changed the k-member and have the engine mock installed, as for the race car it's about 75% done. Then the 71 F100 is also on the list to be restored, then my daughters outlaw jr. dragster out and running this year, my girlfriends SC T-Bird.............................holy crap!!!

Found some time this past weekend!!! I mounted the fuel pump/filter assembly. I started running fuel line to the front of the car. I just have to buy clamps to support the line. This weekend I should have the regulator mounted and the remainder of the fuel line ran.
The hood is sitting on the car with a 2" spacer under the carb and a 4" k&n filter on top!....just a little too tall!

i still want to pull the 8o turbo futura from the bone yard. jonzo told me how to do it since they won't sell me the car because it's titleless. cut out the VIN tag, and just buy it as a large ammount of parts still together

just a small update...fuel system is complete....for the most part, garden hose size fuel line is neatly tucked away out of sight....mite even paint the fuel line under the car black to disguise it some....right now I'm going through the wiring harness figuring out whats needed and what isn't.

The car is all plumbed and wired....when wiring the fuel pump through the factory harness, I encountered a strange problem....no power!....going through the harness starting from the rear, including inertia switch and relay, I found a blown fuse at the fuel pump relay....had power up to that point....this car was canibalised because of a simple blown fuse....the ignorance of some people! After swapping in a new fuse, the fuel pump started running....When I purchased the car it had a N/A intake and carb with a bulb type syphon hose that small power boats would use...I wonder if they noticed the factory fuel pump block off plate on the engine?
