what my ex is rubbung in my face...
just wait till you guys see what my ex is rubbing in my face. she knows how badly i want one, as almost all of us probably do. on top of that, if i don't buy it from her it'll probably end up wrecked, or shredded in the junk yard. this is the only picture i could take of it, but trust me, it's real!

i just found out after searching through records in the warehouse, that only 213 of these were actually made. the National Coach Corp. kept a record of it, and there is also a record of the beds and tailgates being stored in a warehouse in Texas...

its a fairmont durango and a nice one! kinda like a ranchero, but better. that would be a sweet addition to anyone's fairmont collection.

I read the version on Wiki and I guess I learned something today.
They were only powered by the 200 c.i. and they were a replacement for the ranchero?

Now I know they wouldn't take the place of a genuine 1/2 ton pickup, but does anybody have a rational reasoning behind only using the 200 engine?
Maybe so somebody didn't do some serious towing with it?

I am sure it was just for testing to see if they would sell a lot or have a lot of feed back on people requesting v8 power. Sadly I am guessing they didnt go like Hot Cakes, so....
They are probly more desired now then when they were new and makes them very rare.....cool ! Now I still need one.

well, this is not what i was expecting to see when i read the title.
ford originally wanted to make them all 5.0 powered, but the 200 was the most popular engine, so they went with that instead.

hey, don't knock the 200. almost as strong and torquey as the 300, and certainly just as dependable...
