well today at work i drop the complete exhaust system from the cat back, the cat was little clogged, real white and ash white inside had gotten real hot. pull muffler off shook it sounded like box of rocks was little heavy compare to new muffler. busted out cat and install new muffler. on way home did another test with laser temp gun. hottest temp was the head pipe to cat 350 degs, cat was 250 deg pipe from cat to muffler was 200 deg, muffler was 100 degs and tailpipe was 80 degs. muffler i guess was clogged bad. busted out cat to prevent future problems. has some pep on freeway.valves rattle a little on freeway using 89 octane fuel. still wondering if the clear fuel filter between the fuel pump and tank is making it run lean ? might take off and see if there a differents last week to off the egr to clean tested with vac hand pump gauge took 5 psi to pull plunger up don't know if vac line is pulling the plunger when at high speed how can i test without having to buy new egr valve do not won't to throw parts at car trying to fix

well today i could not take off cat because didn't have gasket replacement for exhaust pipes. need one before and after cat, but did a test on car . borrow a snap on brand themo laser temp gun. got car good and hot from work to home about hour drive.
soon as i got off the freeway i pull into a parking lot and scan away. head pipe before cat temp was 300 degs, from end of cat temp was 825 degs, exhaust pipe from out of cat into muffler 3 foot piece 600 deg pipe out of muffler 400 degs pipe coming off
exhaust manifold 250 degs.front half of cat cooler than back half of cat
