Need info on tuning a carb?

hey everyone,
Does anyone know where i can get direction on how to tune the holley 1 barrel model #1946 I rebuilt it while back but tuned it by ear. Is there any info on steps to tuned carb. Like adjusting the fuel-air screw. do i need a vac gauge?

I gave you these links before.
If you save it you will have it when you need it.
I do not know of any better guides available.
And yes, a vacuum gauge and a tach help.

The easiest way to adjust a carb is the "lean drop method'.All you need is a tachometer.

You start by bringing the mixture screw in until the idle drops and is ready to stall. Now back out the mixture screw slowly and watch the tach. When you reach the highest point of RPM continue until you drop 100 rpms. You may have to back down the idle if it climbs to high.
