Junk yards??
Anyone know of a good junk yard for the older cars? (I'm working on a 68 galaxie) Prefer something in the Florida or Georgia area. (I'm near Tampa) Let me know. Thanks!

Not very impressed with the junk yard dog... didn't seem to matter what I selected, it all ended up being a form to fill out. I get enough spam.
And they don't even have Galaxie in the drop downs.

I'm more interested in a pick and pull place. A road trip for parts would be fun. I'd rather spend the money on parts and gas than giving it to the post office for shipping.

I rather have the parts anyway I can get them since they are getting harder and harder to find nowadays! If you need anything new that is reproduction you will have to pay shipping on it unless the company that makes the part is next door!

Galaxie parts
I have a few places here in the Northeast, but they are to far for you I'm sure. Also you really need to be picky with northeast parts, they rust like crazy

notdavidspade, there are two places that i know of one is in orlando Unique Auto parts. The other one is i Withlacoochie. Lucky Myers. Havent been to Luckys in over ten years, dont even know if he still exists. He was never open whenever i went to see him. Unique is open m-f. if you call and let him know, chances are he will open for you. He has plenty of parts. and will let you browse, but will not let you pull. i have no problem with that . Why destroy a hundred dollar part to get to a two dollar part. Good luck
