2008 Escape Hybrid - No heat on drivers side

Hi, my 2008 escape hybrid blows no hot air out of the drivers side. The passenger side works great, but only cool air comes out the drivers side, not cold, just cool. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Hey there Ronista,

Please find attached TSB 09-12-6 "Climate Control Temperature Variation From Side to Side". It is possible that the problem you are experiencing is due to one of the Temperature Blend Door Actuators.

It is my understanding that there is a "Self Test" Procedure that can be done to assist in diagnosing the problem.

If I recall correctly, the procedure is a follows:

Quote:
With the Key ON, and the engine running: Press POWER and DEFROST buttons simultaneously, then and release. Then press the FLOOR/DEFROST button within 2 seconds. The display will show a flashing blower icon for 20 seconds, after which all vacuum fluorescent segments will be displayed if there are no codes present. If any codes are present, the EATC module will display "88 88", then display some codes (numbers). Please Write these codes down.

To Exit the Self Test press DEFROST and wait 30 seconds, then turn OFF the key.
Hope this helps.
