2005 Ford Freestar 2nd row seatbelts
Hi, everyone.
I bought a used 2005 Ford Freestar with an original 2nd-row bench, and in the deal the seller gave me captain's seats to replace the bench. Installing the seats was easy, as two of the anchors are the same used for the bench, and the other two are present underneath the carpet - all I had to do was cut two additional holes in the carpet to expose them.
However, now I can't find the mini-buckle where the seatbelts should attach. Are they also under the carpet? There is no indication in the manual or anywhere to their location. I am almost 100% sure they are not in the seats themselves. Can anyone help?
Will

The seat belt latch button side should be attached on the middle side of the captain seats you have at seat level. If not there, someone has removed them.

Are you referring to the actual red latch button for the main buckle? Yes, those are there.
But the belts have two buckles: a small one that attaches to a low anchor point and is not supposed to be removed, and a larger one which is the one that the passenger locks up and releases.
I do have the latches for the large bucles; I'm looking for the small latch, the permanent one. (By permanent I don't mean it can't be removed. It can, but not as easily as the other one.)
As an example, I believe the back bench has a similar latch. The middle seat belt attaches to a small latch on one side, and a regular, large one on the other. I'm looking for something similar to that small latch.

Here is a photo of the anchor location. Hope it helps and you find it under the carpet.

Thanks a lot! I looked under the carpet and there isn't a proper anchor there. There's a hole where it's meant to go, I suppose, but I think I'll have to buy the anchor.
Seeing the picture was really useful though, because I knew where to look.
