I really want to go, but I don't work in the industry. How can I attend? I still have some connections with Ridenow Powersports where I used to work but it doesn't look promising. How does an average Joe sneak (clears throat) I mean GET in?

Last time I checked when I wanted to go and the only way was to be a parts maker, distributor or a leader of some type of automobile club or just know somebody who is going.

Maybe the rules changed by now?

It's still that way, you have to work in the industry and your company has to sign up. Thats why I was wondering if anybody had any secrets. I even tried signing up my own "company" but they want a tax id # and identification.

Oh it is easy to do that, my wife still has a Tax ID but does not do her business anymore.

Just apply for a tax ID to sell automotive parts, say your an Ebay seller of used parts.
