Junk it or trade it in?

I can get $420 for my 96 taurus as a junk car and that's with them picking it up. Question is should I junk or is it worth more as a trade in if I get a newer car? It still runs but leaks power steering fluid bad from the rack. I think the heater core is bad too.

Well try to trade it in and see what they offer you, you may be surprised? I got $2000 for an escort that I paid $1000 for 6 months earlier!

I'd suggest that if you are going to trade it, make your deal without the trade first, then see how much they'll give you for the trade.

Depending on what you are buying, they may give you something if you take it back home.
