Remote starter install.
I'm doing some research in preparation for installing a remote start/keyless entry system into a 2004 Expedition and I need to know one thing. What color wires are for what circuit? Ie, blue for acc. and the like.
All help would be much appreciated.
Z

My best suggestion is to get a Ford Workshop manual for your vehicle, I bought mine on Ebay cheap.

Thanks Mark, but I'll have this install done before it would get here. Guess I'll just have to dig out the old multimeter. Nothin can ever be easy, can it?

I've been meaning to install my alarm properly on my 2010 Focus, but haven't dug into it yet because I was going to tap into things at the smart junction box- Are these SJB things usually hidden under things like the kickpanel or are they supposed to be more readily accessible for fuses?
I looked under the dash but wasn't sure where these things are usually located- anyone have a picture of exactly where I'd find it?

OK ran into a snag. My customer bought a factory PATS bypass module and the only place it plugs into is a spot by the ignition switch. But if I plug it in there, you can't start the truck with a key OR the remote start. Is there somewhere else I'm not seeing that this plugs into? I've got the sensor ring properly installed, so I know that isn't it. The bypass is PN 8L3Z-19G365-BA

Hey there Zephy,
You know you lost me at OK 'eh.....
I don't know what kind of instructions the "Bypass Module" came with, but see if the attached .pdf helps, go to page 117 for the Expeditions.

You will have to find out exactly what kind was installed first.
