My stereo reception is terrible; I have checked and cleaned the antenna connection on the back of the radio. Where does the antenna cable connect to the rear vent window and are there any hidden connections on the way back?

The rear antenna cable connection should be right on the rear window. Check the radio ground connection, and the wiring. The antenna cable goes up under the roof headliner to get to the rear. I am not sure if you have rear radio controls or not, but that also has wiring going to the front unit.

You may want to unplug the antenna window connection and check the on glass wiring for continuity. sometimes they get old or scratched and fail. You can get a conductive paint kit to repair scratched antenna grid wire.
