When I bought the Monty 3 years ago with 80K miles, it had eaten a disc and jammed. I took it apart, and soon gave up on it, and I have a lot of experience with electronics and mechanical devices. I replaced the unit with a Pioneer NAVI, radio, CD, GPS, bluetooth, etc. The Pioneer does everything, but hardly any of it is satisfactory. I've just bought a used 6 CD radio off ebay, and will install it and my terrific new Garmin 1490T GPS.

The 6 CD on our 2003 Windstar won't read discs, either. My D-I-L runs her Ipod or whatever through the aux input, and she's happy.

There's probably a market for repairing/exchanging these 6 CD modules.

You could try pulling the fuse and seeing if you can get it to "reset". When my Milan would do this, i would just wait a while and then try again and could usually get them to eject after a while.

You should remove the battery cable for a couple of minutes then try again. There is 2 fuses for the system so just removing a fuse may not work. If that fails to reset it get a credit card or old cd and put it in the door and try lifting the stuck cd just a little. This should free it up. You can also remove the unit and access them buy removing the top cover of the unit. If all of these suggestions fail you can always try this.

Good luck.
