Bigger Tires??

I just bought on 06 F150 with 83,000 miles on it. It's the 4.6 V8. The first weekend I had it, I put a Tough Country 2 in leveling kit on it. I really want a little bit bigger tires and black rims. Any suggestions? I know sometimes bigger tires means problems with the truck so I am looking to avoid all of that if possible with tires maybe not so big but that look awesome. Also, if you have any pricing information that would be awesome too! Attached is a picture of the truck now.

Well im no expert but as far as i know you can probably get away with some not too aggressive 35"s? Maybe at least.

You would need to make sure they don't rub on the turns. Are you wanting to go for monster mudders or just nice all-terrains?

The way the tires will look will ultimately depend on how big a rim you are wanting.

But otherwise, Nice Truck

I am thinking of some 33's. I wanted 18 inch rims but was told that I would save a lot of money by only getting 17 inch rims. I will probably just settle for some nice all terrains but I dont know what everything is going to cost.

If you get tires with a larger rolling radius, you will have to have the PCM reprogramed.
This is usually about $100, but dealerships often refuse to reprogram for a tire size that never came stock.

If you buy the right size rim along with new tires the difference between the two will not effect the speedometer and nothing will have to be recalibrated.

However since you are talking about a Truck I am assuming the tires and rims will both be too big and you will have to recalibrate the speedometer.

Now on the other hand there are some popular computer tuners/programmers that will let you change tire settings to compensate for the speedometer, dont remember what brands....Bullydog may be one of them.

Here's a tire size calculator that will also give you the speedometer difference.
