old ford fan... since a kid. enjoy tinkering with anything, spending time with older folks, saving junk that looks like it might have a little life left in it yet...

by trade, machine tool builder- no schooling, when still in highschool i started patching roofs/sweeping floors at the same shop i still work at...crazy how it worked out, tinkering with atari computers around same time the shop started doing CNC retrofits, by happenstance, got really into Fanuc controls, we were doing 10-15 systems a year from 84-04 or so, got into robots back in 86...
sweeping floors to installing robotic lines in Japan that i was charged with all the interface/programming...crazy how life can send you in unknown directions...
married twice, son from first marriage, three sons from second...second son was a miracle baby, three open hearts/two caths before 3 months old/terminal lung disease that he somehow outgrew? wifes a 16 yr cancer survivor- sadly radiation for lymphoma at 27 has kinda destroyed her heart- heart attack/double bypass at 36 (youngest son was 7 months...very rough yr for all) doing ok now, but facing double valve replacement in the future, age is a plus, but risks are huge with second surgery on radiated heart...we almost lost her during the bypass thing... dont like to think about that crap, wrenching/twisting wires is a lot easier.
anyways, thats my story in a nutshell- tim
