Hey Zeph this is BoxTop from 4eyePride and I'm trying to post in the Fairmont interior for sale thread but it won't allow me to write in the message field. It's grayed out. Any ideas? Thanks

I was able to figure out the '05 Mustang wheel offset using the Ford Racing catalog. The wheels fit perfect with the Lincoln Fox rear axle with the disc brakes. There is a lot of helpful technical information in the Ford Racing catalog. Especially when doing a project like this. There are great tips on everthing from engines and suspension to drivetrain and fuel injection.

Yeah, they are the "Bullitt" style my old 2002 GT had. Seems like the offset on the '05 and up wheels seems to work better for adding big wheels to Fairmont/Zephyrs, which I didn't know at the time.

Nice! Are those Mustang wheels as well?

I think you are right about the instrument cluster without the PRNDL. That is one reason I wanted it since I converted my Futura to the Toploader 4-speed.

Thanks, the interior's my favorite part. I got really lucky. I was sitting at a car show thinking about building a sleeper, and this car drove by, for sale. It was a bit pricier than I was looking at spending on one of these, but well worth it not to have to fix the body at all. For 5 lug conversion, on the front I have '99-04 Mustang spindles, although I hear the '94-95 ones fit better. On the rear, I had been planning on using a Cobra IRS, but later found it to be WAY too wide. I made a deal with a guy who had a Mustang for his 8.8 that already had the 5-lug and disc brake conversions done. So, I'm not sure what he did.

You have a lot of work in your car, especially the interior. How did you find a rust free Zephyr in Minnesota or did you do a lot of rust repair? Tell me about the five lug conversion.

It is a little hard to recall as this find was a couple years ago, but what I remember is that this instrument cluster came out of a regular Fairmont sedan, (not an ES or Futura). So I assume that this instrument cluster was an option in the entire Fairmont/Zephyr line.

I have the original Fairmont/Zephyr sales brochures, but cannot get at them right now since they are about 400 miles away at my vacation home. I'll look it up one day and drop you a line.

I kinda remember the car being an automatic too.

Hey, is there any way you can send a pic of where your clutch cable goes through the firewall? I can't remember if there was already a grommet there or not. The only one i've been able to see was vamp's on the bash trip... Hoping to get atleast one of the monts done for a good roadtrip. Planning on going to south dakota in june

I'm a Ford Asset trained tech who quit after a short time in the field. I moved on to other jobs and am now a stay-at-home dad! These two things gave me the skills and the time (with naps and a little luck) to indulge in my car hobby!

Anyway, thanks to my training, I have some book knowledge of cars, while not having a whole lot of practical knowledge, other than what I've learned on my Fox body Zephyr and other Mustangs I've owned. I try to help out and answer car problem questions where I can, but often leave it to those more knowledgeable.
