What was stolen??
The truck with the VIN listed above?
Or the ECU?

The ECU (and a list of sensors and actuators) is made to a calibration code. That code will be on the engine however it is also on a sticker near the VIN plate on the driver's door jamb.

The calibration code for a 1995 unit will be

5- ##letter - R ##

An example would be 5-64H-ROO
First number is the model year
2nd series is the engine family and specific set up
3rd series is revisions to the 2nd series. Revision 1, 2 3 ....

You have to have a calibration number to get the correct ECU part number. I do not have a parts manual for newer vehicles than 1980. However the above is needed to get the part number.

Good luck.

Here is a shot of the calibration code sticker on my 1990 E 150. It was shot in total darkness so it is not clear. On my Econoline the Calibration sticker is between the door striker and the VIN decal.

It is located in 2 other places.
On the ECU which in your case is gone.
On a paper tag on the valve cover, which is cryptic and doesn't always last long.
