MY 2006 F150 5.4 HAS A PROBLEM OF STALLING AND DIEING AND AT TIMES NOT IDLEING. I HAVE CHANGED THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR AND THAT HELPED THE IDLEING FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. I RECEIVED A B061F CODE FROM TIME TO TIME BUT NOT CONSISTANTLY. I HAVE CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY WITH THROTTLE BODY SPRAY CLEANER WITH NO CHANGE. THE CODE WILL COME ON WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE ENGINE STARTS TO SURGE, THAN STALL AND FINALLY DIES.
    WHERE DO I START?

Start with the known and work to the unknown. You have a code, work that failure. And to back up Dominick, There isn't a B061F.

    Code numbers start with P
    First one is 1001.

    And welcome to the FFO

IF this is the code, it in NO WAY indicates the MAFS.

    Possible causes
    Software incompatibility issue
    Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
PCM harness is open or shorted
    PCM circuit poor electrical connection

There are four things that affect combustion and engine operation.
    Air
    Fuel
    Spark
    Pressure

Do you have air getting into the combustion chamber?
Do you have proper fuel pressure?
    Is there consistent spark?
Does the engine work properly, check your compression.

Now, if you find one or more of these things to be askewed from a known good and you have a code that points at the PCM, then I would start checking circuits and find out if the problem might be communication with the PCM or the PCM itself.
