Classic 70s Aussie Ford Muscle - Panelvan

    Hi all

    just wanted to share with you a popular 70's Australian icon you may not know of - this is the Ford Falcon "Sundowner" Panelvan. Its the brother vehicle to the Mad Max Falcon Coupe. In Aus in the 70s these Falcons came in coupe, ute, panelvan or sedan variants.
    The Sundowners were marketed at surfers and adventurers and less as tradesmen vehicles, they came with cool stripes and a rear tailgate that lifted up, as opposed to the barn doors you see on most vans.

    Very nice to see the brochure and the real thing!!!

    In the states that would be similar to a two door station wagon. (Pinto) A few were made in the 1970s however it never really caught on that much.

    I like it!!!
