    Sebring Thunder Car Show

If any of you Florida guys are interested, the Cypress Gardens show will be held in Sebring the 17-19 this month. The entry fee is $25 for the 3 day event which includes food friday evening at the Kenilworth, then up to the Circle for a burn out competition at 7:30pm. The show is downtown saturday and no entry fee for it. And, if you're signed up for the 3 day event you'll get an opportunity to take few laps around Sebring International Raceway on sunday. Behind a pace car of course.

    Sebring Thunder Car Show

The event was a huge success. It is now called the "Sebring Thunder" car show. At high noon they had everyone start and rev their engines creating the thunder. We had way over 200 registered cars plus a whole bunch of fine classics that cruised in and displayed their vehicles for a portion of the day. That's a great turn out for a first time event. We started out with a burnout competition on friday night with an estimated 1500 people. The show was 9-3 saturday and then the awards BBQ banquet at 6pm hosted by the historic Kenilworth Lodge hotel, followed up Sunday with about 70 us gathering back at the hotel and then being escorted to the Sebring Internatiol Raceway. At 11:30 they shut down the scheduled race event and let us cruise te 3.7 mile road coarse for 30 minutes. That was cool. A lot of fun. My car took 2nd in the Muscle Car class. I thought that was respectable given the level of competition. Below is the link to some photo's of the show.
