Buy new ones.

The old ones won't fit. And even if they did they are used. You have an opportunity to replace these with brand new one. If the used ones worked for 2 or 3 year it would be a b!tch to have to raise the engine to install a broken mount. But they won't fit anyway so you will have to buy new ones.

Now is the time to clean & paint as well. Both the engine being installed and the engine compartment. Look for hard to reach wiring harnesses that might need help. Replace anything thing that is rubber, hoses or ????

You won;t have the opportunity of an empty engine compartment very often take advantage.

What transmission are you going to use?

If you have a choice use the C6.

I believe the C4 was used with that engine and the C6 will handle more than the 352 can dish out.

What year 351?

Never mind about the year.

The 351 did not get into Bronco until model year 1978 or later. Post 1971 engines were detuned. Lower compression, a camshaft that was less aggressive and valves that were smaller.

OK and up to model year 1977 the largest engine for Bronco was a 302. If the 351 came out of a 1970 Bronco it came out of something else first.

You might find out what that something was

Both 351s were available in Torino in 1970. So those parts are going to be at any fast moving parts store. (Autozone Oreilly's or ) I am assuming you are in the US. Your profile is not complete so I don't know if you are in Canada, Europe, Austraila or US

You are not mistaken. That was the first year Ford put any 351 in a Bronco. Which is the same thing I stated in post #12. The donor engine is coming from a 1970 Bronco which never had a 351 originally. So this engine transplant is at least the second time for this engine. So there are some unknowns.

It is the oil pan.

Different oil pans were made for different applications. You will need to get an oil pan for a 351 for a car of that period. Maybe even for your model.

That truck pan does not work in a car. There may be other things like this that are attached to the engine. May be not a fitment thing and still different.

To echo the other posts you will need a different pick up tube for the different pan.

Pitch the pick up tube. And selling the take off pan to a truck guy will recoup some of your costs.

And if you are taking the pan & pick up tube off, I would replace the oil pump.
And I would replace the timing chain set too.
It is easy to do these things now.
If you have a chain that gets worn or a pump that has worn, changing later is much more difficult.

I had another thought, if the core plugs are questionable at all replace now.

Plus painting the block will never be easier than right now.
