Hello all,
I'm a newbie mom who is trying to teach my 18 year old that you can fix some things on your car yourself.

The AC/Heater fan will only blow on high. After some research online, I've deduced he needs a new blower resistor. It looks like a fairly easy fix, but I can't locate the darn thing. One source says it's under the hood, tucked up against the firewall. Another source says it's behind the glove compartment, but can only say where it is on a manual AC unit. Ours is an automatic unit.
I was going to post a picture, but the forum won't let me.

Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
CeeCee

I am listing it as blower motor controller(electric version of a blower resistor). It is under the dash by the blower motor.

Blower motor resistors are always difficult to find. The parts counter guys at the dealer will usually show you a picture of where it is located.

You may need to remove a "courtesy panel" to access the resistor, but you will find it just downstream from the blower motor. Make sure no obstructions (papers, maps, electronic add-ons) are blocking the air flow into the blower assy.
