Did the 66 with the 6 cylinder have a front sway bar? Mine doesn’t and the car has a nasty sway to it. Found a new sway bar online. I think I’m going to buy one and install it.

According to the "Front Suspension" description on the last page of this brochure, YES. I suspect the diameter of the bar varied with the engine originally installed.
Is the front end pushing wide in turns? Under-steer?
A bar should help.

Some earliest Falcons and Comet reprtedly had no no sway bar from the factory but all had the bars' mounts.

Same as Mustang (early) , aftermarket thicker-performance sway bars are easily availble as swell as the OEM thinner ones on EBaay etc ...
