Anyone have experience with sizing out rear tires for the 71?

Trying to get the widest tires I can without actually making any significant modifications. Currently it has 245/60/14's on it and they are just way to tiny looking with plenty of space all around.

As best as I can tell a 295/50/15 on a 15x8 rim will fit with no offset. Little hard to tell how they will look or if it'll rub anywhere or not.

Thanks, Jordan

Welcome to the FFO!

The last time I did that, I took the vehicle to Discount Tire.
They did the selection and I bought the tires.
Some of that may change depending on how old the springs are. (Is there sagging?)
Not sure if that tire chain is available at your location.

The tire store near me wants to sell me tires.
At the time I was looking for the widest that would fit.
They were a little more conservative than me.
They were concerned if the vehicle was loaded to max the tires would hit the top of the wheel well. However they could not get the car weighted to see. They piled some guys into all of the seats to add weight as a test.
