My brother in law got hit the other day in his 1992 Escort on the rear tire. It bent the rear axle beam. No junk yards nearby (within 200 miles) have a 1992 Escort, so I was wondering which model years would swap in with no problems? There are a few choices from an 88, to a 94, and a 96. Trying to get this thing back on the road because he doesn't have the cash for a new (to him) car, and this little thing only has 40,000 miles on it, his G-ma bought it brand new. Any help would be great, thanks!

I know for sure Escorts were the same from '91 to '96. Same model year Mercury Tracer and Mazda Proteges and 323s would work also. I may be mistaken, but i'm pretty sure the '97 to '02 Escorts and ZX2s used the same components as well.

im not sure which part it was, as i just have seen it with the wheel on right now. I was going to go help him this weekend with it. I just wasn't certain if the parts were interchangeable on those model years or not. Thanks for the help you guys!
