2002 ford escape a/c problem

i just bought a 2002 ford escape and my a/c does good sitting still but as i go down the road it stops blowing cold !!! i checked the charge and it is good any suggestions?

Had one like that years ago after a repair which was the silica bag in the dryer broke and was replaced.

They didn't get all the contamination out of the system and the expansion valve would get plugged with the increased RPM but at idle would work. It looked like a old carb filter made of sintered bronze.

As I recall it was actually inside a line right at a fitting and can't be seen. You must break the system open just to see it.
Did you fix your AC? Was it the expansion valve afterall?

I have a 2001 Mazda tribute that is doing the exact same thing. AC blows ice cold when stuck at a red light but once I get on the freeway it starts blowing warm air.
