When put into Drive the truck won't go. If you put into 1st manually it will go. Then shift to 2nd and then to Drive it will then shift gears 3-5 just fine. So you basically have to drive it like it's a manual when it's an automatic transmission. The code reader said "CTO Signal out of range. Torque converter clutch solenoid circuit performance". Do I need a new transmission or is there something else going on? Also, when this issues started the dash lights, seat warmers, and ac/heat know lights quit working.

Things to consider before replacing the transmission

The fluid is low
The fluid is dirty and the transmission needs servicing
The torque converter clutch solenoid wiring needs repair
The torque converter clutch solenoid is bad

The first two would be most common.

How many miles on it?
When was the last time the transmission was serviced?
