If you look at your owner's manual the contents will direct you to page 45 for the Navigation system. On that page it will show you that there is a separate booklet for the Navigation system
If you look at the index on the back of the owners manual and look for Compas, Electronic, it refers you to page 67.
Pages 68 & 69 give info on how to set up and calibrate the Compas.
And yes the direction is shown in the lower left of the display
