Hi... I have what I believe is a faulty, leaking gasket for the VVT Solenoid... Any tips for swapping it or is it actually just straight forward? Also if I need to replace the solenoid do I need to remove the valve cover to do that? Thanks

Hey, did you figure out if the valve cover needs to be removed to replace the VVT solenoid gasket?I am having the same issue too, did you manage to fix yours?
Hey, yeah unfortunately you have to remove the valve cover for the 2009 Ford escape. Once you do hit the top of the vvt solenoid gasket with a hammer from the top and it should fall below. Finally just slide the new one in, make sure it's properly seated. Pretty easy job thoughHey, did you figure out if the valve cover needs to be removed to replace the VVT solenoid gasket?
