Hi... I have what I believe is a faulty, leaking gasket for the VVT Solenoid... Any tips for swapping it or is it actually just straight forward? Also if I need to replace the solenoid do I need to remove the valve cover to do that? Thanks

Hey, did you figure out if the valve cover needs to be removed to replace the VVT solenoid gasket?
Hey, yeah unfortunately you have to remove the valve cover for the 2009 Ford escape. Once you do hit the top of the vvt solenoid gasket with a hammer from the top and it should fall below. Finally just slide the new one in, make sure it's properly seated. Pretty easy job though

Hello, I would like to know how you could solve this problem. I have the same problem but I can't find how to ask for the seal to correct the leak. If anyone knows what the numbering or specifications are to order it, I appreciate it. NOTE: MANY VERY SIMILAR STAMPS APPEAR ON THE INTERNET BUT IT IS NOT THE SAME
