2nd Annual Chicagoland Fusion Meet - 8/21 and 8/22
Here's the details for the 2nd Annual Chicagoland Fusion Meet! All cars are welcome but the focus will primarily be on Fusions, Milans, MKZ/Zephyrs, Edges and MKX's.
On Friday, August 21st, at the historic Route 66 Raceway for "Friday Nights at 66 Test & Tune". Come on out and let's have some fun! It's up to you whether or not you want to run your car in the 1/4 mile or simply watch in the stands (I will be running my car!). For those who want to run their cars, let's meet up in the parking lot area after you enter the gate. Here's the info:
Enter Gate 11, from Route 53 (Chicago St., historic Route 66).
Gates Open at 4:00 PM
Tech Opens at 4:00 PM
Time Trials Begin at 4:30 PM
Secure Track 9:00 PM (the event has run later depending on the number of cars that attend)
*Times and schedule subject to change
The location is conveniently located between Harlem Ave. (Rt 43) and LaGrange Rd. (Rt 45), just to the south of I-80. The owners are gracious enough to allow us to host the meet at their shop. They are also offering discounted rates if you want to work on your car during the meet. Small projects (oil changes, tire rotation, etc) only please!! There's plenty of parking spots for our cars. Be sure to bring your folding chairs and if needed, a canopy! There will be a BBQ (burgers, hot dogs, etc) and we're asking people to please pay $10 to cover the cost of food. At roughly 5:00pm or so, we will cruise to downtown Chicago for photoshoots. We have multiple locations that we will work out. For those with DSLR cameras, please bring them!
Sunday is completely open as we assume people will be leaving that day. Create your own small breakfast meetup (Cracker Barrel or Chef Klaus Country Cookin) or just enjoy your last day around town.
Hotel Info:
There are many hotels within 5-10 minutes of the meet location for those who are coming in from out of town and are planning on staying overnight:
For the Chicagoland Ford Fusion Meet, there will be rules to follow. First and foremost is RESPECT: 1. Respect for the location - other local car shows and meets use this location. Let's not ruin it so that we can keep coming back for future meets. 2. Respect for Rules of the Road - we don't need local law enforcement arresting anyone. 3. Respect for the community. No personal insults, no bullying, no douchbaggery! Everyone has different tastes (and opinions) but please keep your opinions to yourselves. Let's enjoy the meet and have fun!
Everyone please watch this video as it applies to all car shows/meets:
Thanks everyone! Hope to see you there!
