After installing my windshield I decided to try and tackle the stainless steel trim around the outside of the windshield. It took me a while to figure out a pattern. The hardest part was wanting to jump to a finer grit of sandpaper before it was time. So the first piece took about 40 hrs of work. Turning my grinder into a buffer worked out ok.
Here are a few shots. I still have two pieces left to do.
The left photo was my starting point. The middle shot is after 500 grit. The last shot is after 1800 and the buffing wheel.
This shows one finished.
