well I was already at the jetted carb and headers.
so now I'm doing the carb from the 240 engine.
"The carburetor we used was Ford part number C7AZ-9510-AA and is available from any Ford dealer for $25.60 "
yea you can't pick that up for 25.60 anymore.
well i found one for about the same price.

LOL, yeah that looks like a YF.
Is the base aluminum or cast?

Good news i just got a deal on a driver side fender. Yep, right after i just got it premiered and strips put on.
It's a 66 so it's not the same but i plan on cutting the front section off and replacing my front section that is jacked. So the only difference in the 66 vs 67 is the louvers on the side.
I will have to see where the best places will be to cut and weld.
It will be a bit of welding and reworking but in the end it will look good.
Btw it will be a springtime project. who know maybe by then a 67 fender might come up and save me some work. we shall see.

Ppicked up a 66 fender over the weekend.
If I can't find a 67 fender by this spring i will cut off a patch plate from this to fix mine.

carb progress, very slow for me.

the difference in hole sizes, but mounting holes are good. I will taper the inlet port to match the carb bore.

Mounting the carb to inlet works but some changes will need to be made.

my idea on a throttle lever extension. the green is the movement of the carter carb.
I will have to get a longer quick disconnect rod (about 1" longer then stock) to make this work.

I got a 1x2 angle to cut the shapes for the linkage.
One is flat and the other one will have the first 90 per done from the edge and I will have to bend the other

next i will have to heat up the edge to make the bends then drill the holes.
i just ran out of time during lunch break at work.

This morning it did a quick test fit and i dont think it will work.
With the travel length of the stock linkage, it will only open the carb 3/4 the way open.
I am feeling lost right now. any help or ideas would be grateful.
I know I'm not the first to do this and the wright up from back then didn't go into detail on the linkage.

Not exactly sure what you are making. I think it is carb linkage.
If correct, instead of linkage, move to a cable.

I thought about that but i haven't been able to find any pics of that done on a 200 in line with the stock peddle arm at fire wall.
All that i have seen is with a complete replacement of the peddle assembly and all.

To do that you would have to replace the pedal arm. The stock linkage arm is not made for a cable.

You might look for Mustang applications with six.
Mustang is far more in demand and many of the Mustang parts will cross over to Fairlane/Falcon.

Attached is a pic of a 71 Mustang pedal. The mounting is nearly universal for all F/M of the period. The pedal is different for different applications.
The end for the cable allows a cable to be connected.
