how yall doin im new on the site and hopen to get some help iv got a 1972 Gran Torino 4door hardtop with a 351C. she isnt running but she is beautiful. so far iv taken off the valve covers /rocker arms /push rods /edelbrock carb /intake /fan / power stearing pump / belts/ Alternator/ waterpump/ and now im stuck on the headers they r rusted pretty bad. but i was wondering where is the bestplace to get parts for that engine and if i should do an trans swap from the orignal auto or swap to a 4 on the floor. let me know thanks for lookin and thank u cuda_jim for the update on the site:thumbsup:

Now if you're looking for stock parts.. Then I say you should probably just hit Rock auto. But if it's Hi Perf parts you seek. You're probably better off going to Jegs or summit... If you're even thinking about changing carbs.. Let me say this. Edelbrocls are decent carbs.. Holly's are very good & extremely easy to work on & very reliable.. Now for the Chokechesters(rochester carbs) Well they're a very finicky carb... Can be a real pain in the ### to work on. But if you get them tuned right... They're hard to beat. Those Vacuum secondaries are bigger than my ex's mouth..

Next time click on thread tools and just move the whole thread so you save yourself the extra work (also it automatically re-directs everything), if you do not have permissions for it just put up a post to move it in the Moderator section.
