Just curious if my Lincoln should have a condenser? I don’t see anything mentioned in the manual and Rockauto doesn’t offer one. The system appears to be a duraspark II with dual mode timing if that helps. Looks like an aftermarket coil.

The small can with one wire attached to the ignition coil bracket is as stated above. It is a capacitor used for radio static suppression.

Looks like you guys are spot on. It’s a ‘79 mark v with 400. Found it in the manual under radio interference suppression . Thanks!
