98 cannister vent solenoid location

Attached some info from the service DVD-Its located on the canister. This is about all I could find.

thanks Poppy, That is where I fiqured the canister vent solenoid is. According to the pic the vacuum hose branches off to several places where is on the vehicle I have the vauum hose is direct from the upper plenium to the cv solenoid. Could the pic you posted be from a 3.8 not the 3.0??? I will need to take the cowl off some day and check out.

Yep... it is of my 3.8

I just called the local dealer and for the vacuum hose but it is very expense (70 bucks) and it sounded like there were 2 options but neither was available anymore so I will need to get some hose and elbows to make a new one up. Be a lot cheaper anyway. The old one has deteriated from heat and age, when you rub on it like flakes and leaves your fingers all black plus it is easy to tunr on the outlet off of the plenium , so I want to try that first. Possibly that is the problem even tho it does not seem like it has a leak, if I pull it off the plenium it will kill the engine.
