Hello Everyone, I have a 94 explorer and the blower will stop working intermittently. When it stops, nothing will work on the heat or AC settings. Then it will just come back on. It is usually worse when it is hot out and using the AC. Could it be a bad ground? It does some other weird stuff too, like sometimes the abs light will be on and the cruise control will not work and then next time you start it, it is fine again. Any suggestions would be great! thanks in advance...

Well, if the blower stops working...you will get nothing!
Since this issue is intermittent, you need to re-create the problem.
Start by obtaining a test light, and familiarizing your self with your blower motor, wiring, and related components like the resistor. Find and test the wires going to the blower. Now you know what to expect, and you can wiggle, shake, or tap items near the blower, or just wait for the next failure and retest.

The chances of a 16 year old Explorer needing a blower are rather high. A medium tap on the blower motor during failure is often useful in diagnosis.

When it stops, nothing will work on the heat or AC settings. Then it will just come back on.
I wonder if you have EATC and the display goes dead...?

Bad/intermittent blower motor, switch or switch ground. See attached schematic. Check for voltage at switch term 5 when the problem happens. Check voltage drop on switch ground pin 7.
